Dear Colleagues,
I am writing this with a genuine sense of urgency and hope.
The NAMIC Study is not just another survey. It is an attempt to document the real ICU workforce and practice realities of India — across government hospitals, peripheral centres, district ICUs, teaching institutes, mixed-resource units, and regions that are usually never represented in national data.
If these voices are not captured now, they may once again remain invisible in future discussions, policies, and academic understanding of critical care in India.
At this stage, what matters most is not large numbers from the same institutions. Even a single response from a distant district, a government hospital, a peripheral ICU, or an underrepresented state can significantly strengthen the scientific and national value of this effort.
As colleagues many of you have professional and academic connections across the country. A simple forward from your side to the right person in the right region may help bring an entire unseen ICU ecosystem into this national dataset.
I sincerely request you not only to participate, but to help this study reach places that are otherwise rarely heard from.
Sometimes a single response can represent an entire region.
